In short

To send a message through the Inno Message API, POST to /v1/messages with the channel, the recipient and the message body. The API returns the message with an id and a status of "queued"; delivery updates arrive later through webhooks. The message also appears in the shared inbox, so agents see what was sent.

Request

curl
curl -X POST https://api.innomessage.com/v1/messages \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "channel": "whatsapp",
    "to": "+601234567890",
    "body": "Your order has shipped!"
  }'

Response

200 OK

Things to know

  • channel must be one connected to your workspace (for example whatsapp, sms or email).
  • On WhatsApp, free-form messages are only allowed within 24 hours of the customer's last message; otherwise use an approved template.
  • A 4xx response explains what to fix; a 429 means slow down and retry with backoff.
